Kevin Golston
Founder, HoopRx
Raised in a home that regularly welcomed foster children, Kevin Golston developed an early understanding of service, compassion, and community. From organizing coat drives, turkey giveaways, and toy donations to later becoming a therapeutic foster parent focused on keeping sibling groups together by age 25, his life has been rooted in creating stability and opportunity for others.
Basketball became his outlet—and his teacher. The game gave him structure, clarity, and resilience, eventually leading to a scholarship at Robert Morris University Springfield. But more importantly, it revealed something deeper: the mental side of the game often determines everything.
Over the next decade, Kevin built a career in the fitness industry as a gym owner, personal trainer, and sales leader—developing high-performing teams and helping individuals transform physically. Yet through years of working with athletes, one pattern became clear:
Physical training was prioritized. Mental development was not.
That gap became the foundation for HoopRx.
Kevin founded HoopRx to serve as a resource for the mind in the “mind, body, soul” approach to athlete development—bridging performance training with mental resilience, emotional control, and life readiness. Through partnerships with trainers, coaches, and community leaders, HoopRx is building a connected ecosystem that supports athletes both on and off the court.
With coaching experience across Ohio and Gerogia and a network deeply rooted in the basketball community—Kevin is creating a unified platform where athletes are not just developed, but supported.
Inspired by a family background in therapeutic recreation and mental health advocacy, his mission is clear:
Use the game of basketball to build stronger minds, stronger people, and stronger futures.
Today, Kevin Golston leads HoopRx with a vision to redefine athlete development—where mental toughness is trained, community is built, and every athlete is equipped to succeed not just in sport, but in life.

KJ Golston
From an early age, KJ Golston was surrounded by basketball, growing up in a family where the sport was deeply valued. He played AAU basketball and stayed active in football and soccer, experiences that helped build his foundation in teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
His upbringing also emphasized compassion and service. With foster children in his home, KJ learned the importance of support, patience, and creating a sense of belonging for others. He carried those values into his community by participating in food drives and toy drives, gaining firsthand experience in giving back and supporting those in need.
More recently, KJ has remained connected to the game by coaching and refereeing in a youth basketball league, where he mentors and guides young athletes both on and off the court.
He believes basketball is more than just a sport—it is an outlet for growth and healing. In challenging moments, it can serve as a positive escape and a healthy coping mechanism, helping individuals release stress and find balance. KJ’s mission is to use basketball as a tool to support mental health, build confidence, and create safe, uplifting spaces for youth in the community.

DJay Jones
Chief Marketing Officer
A Georgia native with a foundation rooted in athletics and family, DJay Jones brings a unique blend of performance insight and brand execution to HoopRx. As a former college football athlete and recruiting coordinator at Georgia Tech, he developed an early understanding of how to identify talent, build value, and position individuals for opportunity—helping shape the perception and potential of athletes at a critical stage in their journey. That experience sparked a deeper interest in how athletes are presented, developed, and ultimately understood beyond the game.
Over the past 15 years, DJay built a career as a Client Account Specialist, where he refined his expertise in client relationships, operational systems, and scalable processes. In addition, his experience as a personal trainer and boot camp instructor strengthened his connection to athlete development—giving him firsthand insight into both the physical and mental demands of performance.
Grounded by a strong, tight-knit family foundation, DJay’s perspective is rooted in connection, accountability, and long-term growth—values that continue to shape how he builds and leads. Through both his athletic and professional experience, one pattern became clear: Content lacked intention. Brands failed to connect emotionally. Athletes often lacked a clear identity beyond performance. That realization became the foundation for his role in HoopRx.
As Chief Marketing Officer, DJay leads the development of the HoopRx brand system—creating a cohesive identity that connects mindset, performance, and community. He oversees content strategy, storytelling, and audience growth, while building scalable systems designed to expand reach and deepen community engagement. His work is centered on helping athletes develop clarity, confidence, and identity—while building a culture that extends beyond the court and into everyday life.
Together with the HoopRx vision, DJay is focused on shaping how the next generation of athletes sees themselves, connects with others, and shows up in the world.
